Knowledge on Azure cloud is a must to support PAAS instance DB upgrades and other configurations.
Azure Blob data migration and usage for the mentioned applications.
Nice to have skills (Top 2 only)
Previous experience in Gitlab and Artifactory administrations will be a value add.
Experience on working with Docker containers and usage of docker-compose.yml file
Detailed Job Description:
The project consist of upgrading the applications (Gitlab and Artifactory) to a newer version and migrating the data from local disks to Azure blob storages.
The person will act as a consultant. Assist Business in carrying out the upgrades and migrations.
Additional features for Gitlab (Plant UML) and Artifactory (X-ray component) has to be enabled.
Minimum years of experience required (mention the bare minimum acceptable for this position) *: 5 years
Certifications Needed (if any): AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:
Gitlab, Artificatory Administration experience with Upgrade understanding and in-depth knowledge
Upgrade DB database from V11 to 13 for Postgresql hosted on PaaS and configure the Gitlab and Artifactory applications to support this.
Azure blob storage migrations to be carried out for Gitlab and Azure local disks on Azure VMs and assist the business with validations.
Any additional information you would like to share about the project specs/ nature of work:
Must have working knowledge of Gitlab, Artifactory as an administrator.
Ability to execute upgrade procedures on Gitlab in Azure VM with DB hosted on Azure PAAS instance.
Understanding of the directory structure of Gitlab (artifacts, lfs, repositories, etc)
Ability to reconfigure Gitlab and migrate the data from local storage to Azure Blob storage.
Configure Plant UML for Gitlab and its workings.
Ability to Upgrade PostGreSql database from the current one to V13 on PAAS instance.
Working knowledge on docker containers and images with docker-compose.yml is a must.
Ability to upgrade Artifactory application to the latest version.
Ability to provide recommendations for the current Artifactory architecture.
Ability to Setup and validate subdomain method for docker registry.
Ability to Setup and Migrate data to Azure blob storage for Artifactory application.
Define Cleanup policy for unreferenced objects in an automated way for both Gitlab and Artifactory.
Workings of Jfrog XRAY installation and configuration and provide recommendations for the same.
Test and document the backup and restoration procedures for both Gitlab and Artifactory in the new setup with Azure Blob storage configuration enabled.
Define and execute Artifact User Group and Permission Management Strategy
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Experience in scripting languages like bash / python.
