Scientist – Material Science
Experience : 3 to 5 Years Position Type : Full time Key Responsibility for this position, the expectations are as below: Familiarity/exposure to excipient material science (Oral Solid Dosage forms would be beneficial) Experience/familiarity with Advanced Material Characterization (Solid-state and solution state) relevant to excipients Experience in handling basic analytical chemistry data (assay, dissolution, impurity profiling etc.) Investigate physical interactions between excipients and active ingredients You would conduct risk assessment for new excipients Good technical writing and documentation skills Work closely with our clients and provide technology landscaping Good to have Pharmaceutical Product Life-cycle Management exposure Support investigations and life-cycle activities related to excipients Experience in working with different technical, patent, and regulatory databases Skills Preferred An advanced degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field with relevant experience (Masters with 3 to 5 years or a freshly graduated PhD) Knowledge of global regulatory requirements and guidelines applicable to excipients like USP/NF, Ph. Eur., JPE etc. would be advantageous Good communication skills Quick learner and ability to adapt to client requirements Customer-oriented and results-driven To work with minimum supervision and are also a team player Ability to prioritize and balance workload. Knowledge of English Language, both written and spoken is essential Utilizes computer software packages in order to perform the duties of the job. Note: We are looking for specific exposure to different dosage forms and excipients as well as some background on technical documentation and/or advanced / solid state characterization. Looking for with experience in adjacencies like Polymers, Speciality Chemicals, Petrochemicals or FMCG are also fine provided they have a good understanding of Polymer – characterization and structure-property relationship, and advanced/ solid state characterization.
