Job Description
: We are looking for a service- minded freight broker to act as a liaison between our customers and freight carriers. The freight broker will secure new account , expedite the sharing of information and documentation between customers and carriers, and communicate with dispatchers and drivers and drivers to track the status of loads .Logistics Broker :A freight broker serves as a liaison between shippers and carriers to secure transportation of goods. Freight brokers do marketing to attract new customers, pair customers with freight carriers, book orders and line carriers up for loading. Also known as freight delivery broker.Responsibilities and Duties1. Perform freight services, adhering to government and company regulations2. Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules, coordinating with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers3. Track and report shipment status of loads4. Book orders with carriers and assist in preparation for loading5. Provide current and prospective customers with shipping quotes6. Maintain accurate records of all activity, ensuring freight paperwork is complete and approved prior to transportation7. Resolve freight discrepancies and keep relevant parties apprised8. Respond to customer concerns and queries in a timely, professional manner9. Manage multiple deliveries and process spot requests10. Develop new sales strategies to generate leads, improve business, and develop a sales pipeline11. Identify safe carriers for freight services, develop business relationships with carrier contacts, and negotiate pricing agreements and contracts12. Maintain positive, productive relationships with customers, and contact them, as appropriate, for new business opportunities or to offer special promotions and discounts13. Remain abreast of emerging market trendsSkills : -1. Must have two or more years of work experience in USA Logistics2. Familiarity with brokerage firm operations, carrier management, and broker regulations3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software4. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities5. Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effortlessly with customers, shippers, carriers, and dispatchers6. Exceptional negotiating skills7.
