Job Summary

Job Title – Research Associate III
Location – Bangalore
Shift – General
This position will act as mass spectrometry expert in

analytical method development in GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS
technical investigation,
impurities strategy (ICH Q3)
structure elucidation of unknown compound
supporting chemical characterization, extractable & Leachable studies for new or support of existing products within internal Baxter laboratories and with Baxter external partners.

Responsibilities:

Lead, conduct or support the development of qualitative and quantitative methods in GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, LC-HRMS
Participate as SME to the establishment of the analytical capability of structure elucidation of unknown compounds.
Act as organic chemistry expert for analytical support to Extractables and Leachable Lead who is driving studies as per regulatory requirement (ICH, ISO10993-18, …)
Write study protocol, perform laboratory work and write report of protocol studies to provide evaluation/support of new and existing products.
Lead problems solving efforts to meet urgent business needs / maintain timeline
Collaborate with others functions such as project management, functional leads (E&L, Formulation, Analytical, quality, …)
Maintain knowledge of relevant regulatory requirement related to R&D (product development, design and safety) to ensure compliance in all research, data collection and reporting activities.
Independently plan, execute and manage projects span multiple disciplines and utilize established methods, technics or approaches.

Qualifications & Skills

Must have subject matter expertise and working knowledge and experience in areas associated with mass spectroscopy, chromatography (gas and/or liquid), and organic chemistry.
Have an organic chemistry background and other analytical disciplines such as chromatography, NMR, IR, etc. Possess skills or demonstrated scientific background for the development of the necessary skills, for the elucidation of unknown compound structure using a multidisciplinary approach.
Communication skills to build relationships across functional and geographical boundaries and present technical results/plans to technical and non-technical teams.
Personal responsibility and independent ownership of analysis and results.
A good understanding of ICH and cGxP practice
Must be able to challenge the status quo
Ability to adapt to changes and to work in a team environment.
Fluent spoken, read and written English is a must.

Education/ Experience :

Bachelor/Master of Science degree with minimum 8-10 years or Ph. D with minimum 3-5 years of experiences in GxP laboratory environment
